Sherlock - It’s an absolutely brilliant BBC series based on a “modern” Sherlock Holmes.

The outfits and fashion styles they have been using in that show are just stellar. One piece in particular that caught my eye, was “Dr. John Watson’s” jacket.

Military inspired, yet plain and simple, with a few extra touches that I really love, such as the shoulder patch, and the elbow patches. I needed this jacket. But who makes it? They certainly don’t specify in the show credits.

Some time and about 100 different Google search strings later - I found it.

Haversack - Black Cotton Shooting Jacket

Originally an astonishing 725GBP, now down to a ‘paltry’ 218GBP - this gem could be mine. For that sum of money I can be running around yelling “Sherlock!” in an annoyed tone.

Well, 218GBP is about $350 Canadian bucks. (Plus shipping, duty, etc.) - my dreams of owning this jacket have been shattered. But hey, it’s nice to know who makes it, it’s construction, and if I didn’t feel like paying my phone bill, gassing up my car, and eating for a week or so… it could be mine. (It’s also sold out too, so there’s that)

I’ll just admire it from my end of the computer screen instead.

I went to a weird high school. I’m proud may have been responsible for my own tiny piece of that culture of weirdness.

One, I MAY have been the cause of a new policy banning basketball shorts on relaxed dress days because I pulled down someone’s on a mix day with a sister school. In my defense, he was wearing a long sleeve denim shirt and basketball shorts, so he was practically begging me to make him look like an idiot more of an idiot.

Two, when I go back to help with Kairos, I gather that people still talk about the Crimson Avenger.
